Journaling for Success by Zachary Marcy:
BodyLabZ provides each of their clients with a journal to chart and track progress. We have found this to be the single most effective way to keep accountability with our clients and to make immediate changes that lead to our rapid results. Where are you going with your training? Are you making consistent changes in intensity on cardio? Do you increase your weights on each lift from week to week? How consistently are you eating on plan?If you don't know the answer to these questions then it's time to start journaling. Journaling keeps a detailed record that allows a person to assess what the specifics of their health and fitness program.

For example, if you've been doing the same cardio with the same intensity, time and mileage but haven't been losing weight then it might be time to switch what you are doing.

Likewise, if the scale is staying at the same weight and you are trying to gain, you can look at your food journal to figure out if you are getting enough calories. If you aren't getting those calories then you can see, in a detailed fashion, how you can change your nutrition plan to get those extra calories in.

Need a journal of your own? Contact BodyLabZ at BodyLabZ@yahoo.com and we can get you started on a program that includes a journal.
